Gorge Crest Winery bottled our first wines in 2007 and we have explored several wine packaging methods since then, from kegs to cans. The winery focuses its energies on producing limited quantities of premium "handcrafted" wines from the local region. All grapes are de-stemmed, crushed, and carefully pressed to eliminate stem and skin bitterness caused by high pressure hydraulic equipment.

Gorge Crest grapes are fermented and aged using a traditional gravity-based siphon system that has been used for centuries by many of the world's most exclusive wineries. Clean juice is siphoned off the top of the tank during fermentation, so transfer can take place without disturbing sediment as is often the case with large-scale commercial pumping equipment. Gorge Crest reds are fermented in stainless steel tanks, and are then aged and racked in hand made barrels of French and American Oak. Whites are fermented in stainless fermenting tanks.

Gorge Crest's "Premium Handcrafted Estate Wines" are a connoisseur’s delight. The winery maintains its craft quality standards by producing limited runs of each vintage in small batches. The winery has historically produced a Gewürztraminer, a Pinot Gris, a Pinot Noir, a Merlot, a Syrah, and a Riesling. We intend to begin production of a Gamay Noir, a Rosé, and some sparkling types
